with a rainforest walk and take in the spectacular views from the summit
of Mt Kootaloo. After breakfast, glide round the island on a guided jet
ski tour, stopping off for a snorkel over the bommies at Naturalist
Beach. During lunch you can plan the afternoon ahead. Perhaps some water
skiing followed by a game of tennis. Or should that be parasailing
followed by squash?

that's just one day on Dunk Island Resort. You've still got to fit in a trip to
the Great Barrier Reef, a visit to the Artists' Colony, horse riding on

Getting to Dunk Island |
By Air
From
Cairns, Hinterland operates the connecting flight between Cairns
and Dunk Island (45 minutes). Please note that there is a weight
restriction for baggage on all Hinterland flights. The baggage weight
limit is 16kg per person travelling. This baggage restriction will be
enforced and excess baggage will have to be stored at the clients own
expense. The times below are subject to change.
Flight 2 Departs Cairns 12.15 pm. Arrives Dunk 1.00 pm

By Coach/Launch
Mission Beach Dunk Island Connections and Quick Cat Cruises can provide
transfers from Cairns which takes 3.5 hours from Cairns to Dunk Island.
On arrival at Cairns Airport you just need to check into the Sun Palm
Desk which is located in the terminal of both the International and
Domestic Terminals. Clients need to reconfirm time and pick up point the
day prior by calling 07 4059 2709.

Getting to Cairns
Regular flights are available from all Australian
capital cities to Cairns, Queensland with Qantas, Virgin Blue and
Jetstar. Most
airlines have internet only sales available, so you will usually find a
much cheaper air fare by booking online. We are more than happy
to just book your accommodation and transfers.

 Garden Rooms
Set amongst tropical gardens these rooms are a short stroll
from the central complex, resort facilities and beach. Garden
Rooms have a queen bed, ensuite and a small outdoor patio or
balcony. Family configurations are available.
 Beachfront Rooms
Situated beachside with easy access to the beach through a
tropical garden, guests can enjoy filtered views over Brammo Bay
from most rooms. Upstairs rooms have balconies and down stairs
rooms have a patio and lead onto the gardens and the beach.
Rooms are comfortable with modern decor and contemporary cane
and timber furniture on a split-level layout. Rooms have a
separated living and sleeping area and ensuite facilities with
combined bath and shower. All rooms feature one king and one
single bed, or family configurations are available with one king
and two single beds. Additional in-room amenities include
bathrobes and fully stocked mini bar. Interconnecting rooms are
available.
 Beachfront Suites
Situated beachside the rooms offer virtually uninterrupted views
over Brammo Bay with direct access to the beach. Set in small
groups of four units (two units upstairs, two downstairs),
Beachfront Suites are bright and spacious with a king bed and a
luxurious bathroom with a twin vanity. The interior is
split-level with the upper level featuring the sleeping area and
a comfortable living area on the lower level. Rooms have a
relaxed coastal feel with double glass doors leading onto a
large balcony. Additional in-room amenities include CD Player,
bathrobes and fully stocked mini bar. Interconnecting rooms are

Beachcomber Restaurant
Dunk Island's main restaurant, specialises in fresh tropical style
cuisine. A buffet breakfast is served daily from 6.30am to 10.30am.
3 course table d'hote dinners are available 5 nights a week (a
special childrens menu is available on these evenings) and themed
buffet dinners are available 2 nights a week from 6.00pm to 9.00pm.Plantation Bar and Deck
Overlooking the beachfront pool, it' s the perfect
place to soak up the rich, tropical ambience of Dunk. Offering a
Modern Australian Brasserie style menu featuring a selection of
gourmet sandwiches, salads, pastas, Asian dishes, cakes, ice-creams,
milkshakes, smoothies, coffees and fresh juices. Open daily for
drinks from 11.00am til late. Features nightly entertainment 6
nights a week.
The Terrace
Situated below Cascades Pool, this restaurant offers
traditional Italian cuisine from 6.00pm to 9.00pm on Wednesdays and
Saturdays. (Seasonal).

When it comes to family fun, Dunk
Island Resort is
truly the Island of Peace and Plenty. There's a whole host of things to
enjoy together. But when Mum and Dad want a little peace and quiet
together, the Kids Club has plenty of great activities for the children. Kids Club caters for children aged 3
to 12 years all year round. During Australian school holidays, a
Keen Teens program operates for children up to 16 years. Under the watchful eye of Dunk
Island Resort's
professional staff, the kids enjoy a range of activities during morning
and evening sessions.
They can join a treasure hunt, nature
arts and crafts, take a rainforest discovery walk, try turtle spotting,
visit Dunk Island's own farm and the list goes on. In the evening, there's
disco parties, stargazing, night walks, movies, night games and more.
Kids Club even caters for the kids at dinner time. In fact, the kids
will be having so much fun, parents can simply disappear! Now that's
cool.
